Timothy Devost

Mr. Timothy DeVost has over 25 years of combined military and law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he joined the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, where he spent the majority of his public safety career. After retiring from law enforcement, he relocated to Southwest Florida, and took a position as a School Safety Specialist at a prestigious private school in Fort Myers. Mr. Devost ensures school safety compliance with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Act, that resulted from the 2018 school massacre in Parkland, Florida, that claimed the lives of 17 people. Currently, he trains school administrators and staff on active shooter preparedness, crisis management, and other school safety related topics. Mr. DeVost holds an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice.
