Steve Chatterton
Director of  Risk Management - Northeast Region

Mr. Steve Chatterton is Director of Risk Management, Northeast Region at CLPS.  He is a retired Police Captain with over 22 years of law enforcement experience, which included 10 years as a School Resource Officer (SRO).  Mr. Chatterton gained a variety of professional skills, including investigations, security operations, emergency management, and workplace violence prevention.  He is a certified Homeland Security Threat Assessment Instructor and is also certified in the highest levels of the Incident Command System.  While working in law enforcement, Mr. Chatterton received over twenty Letters of Recognition, eight Commendations, and one Life Saving Award.  Prior to coming to CLPS, he spent 10 years as the Director of Security at the Greece Central School District, NY.  Mr. Chatterton is a security expert who helps schools and other organizations enhance their security and emergency preparedness capabilities by providing them with professional development training, consulting, and management support.
